Me on the Race Track at Rockingham last year.
Listening to the radio whilst driving to and from Essex this week made me realise that I've kind of lost touch with all the good music I used to listen to. I had hundreds of LPs at one time and I miss my old favourites like ZZ Top, The Equals, Pink Floyd etc. 'im indoors doesn't appreciate music the way I do. He's never had a music collection (he thinks the radio only plays Radio 5 Live) and somewhere along the line (40 years married next year) I've stopped making time to listen to my favourite tunes. No, worse, I've stopped buying music on a regular basis so my collection not only is missing the old albums in CD format but I've very little current music. Now when I say current, I mean only as current as Radio 2 gets you understand. But still there is a lot of good music out there so my New Year's resolution (a little late I know, but hey!) is to get CDs of my old favourites and start rebuilding my collection with good modern stuff.
With that in mind I have been onto the Amazon website and found ZZ Top's Eliminator and A Trick of the Tail by Genesis. A good start don't you think?
If you see a Berlingo throbbing down the road with the windows open and the music blaring, don't blame the kids - IT'LL BE ME!!

Good for you Dusty, it's great to play your favourites. My son put loads of my favourite music onto an iPod for me (including Pink Floyd, the Eagles etc), and I just love it. M xx
Must get myself an ipod I think. You up late too Mother's place?
Yup, just catching up. Margot xx
Hi again Dusty, I have a shiny new Award for you over at my Blog - no dusting needed. M xx
Hello DS. I am very remiss in coming by to check out your web site after you popped by mine a while ago. I was away ill for a while and catching up with backlog work after that.
I'm just the same with the music. Strange how you can't have enough music and as loud as possible when you are younger and then go through fallow periods as we get older. An Ipod is definitely the way to go. You might need ear plugs when that new arrival of your starts crying!
Oh Dusty, where are you?? M xx
Been away on holiday for two weeks but will be blogging again tomorrow after I've caught up with my babies. Thanks "Mum's place".
Thanks MOB I've just got back from holiday so I'll be over to catch up with your blog soon. Hope you have fully recovered. Two weeks in the sunshine did me a world of good I can tell you! Flick x
Hi Flick (great name for someone who dusts!!) Instructions if I can remember them:
Left click on the image, hold it down and move it to "Save" (under Page at the top of Tool Bar), which should put it in your computer/documents/photos. Then go to your Blog and to the Blogger Dashboard, click on Add a Page Element, then on Add a Picture, then on "browse", then choose the image from your pictures and click on Save.
Don't forget to "Save Changes". that should work, I think. If not, I'll try again. Margot xx
PS. Thank you so much for your kind and suppportive comments - it really helps to know that friends out there understand - I don't feel so alone in getting through it! Margot xx
