Friday

Now I love Fridays. Last day of the working week and all that, except that I don't work anymore. Will Fridays lose their appeal do you think? Maybe I should mark the day in some way.

Yesterday I was just a little bored. Yes, I have to admit it. First time since I retired I found myself with not much to do. Oh don't get me wrong there's plenty to do but when you're not in the mood for ironing, you're not in the mood for ironing! Am I right or am I right? The weather is not so cold today so I will go for a walk. I went on that GI diet after Christmas and very soon lost the half stone that I put on over the festive season but the weight loss has slowed right down so now I have to do more of the dreaded Physical Exercise.

While I was out yesterday, contemplating the strange "bored" feeling, a woman older than myself stopped me in the street to complain about drivers who don't clear the snow off their windscreens before they start driving! Now if I ever get so bored that I have to stop a stranger to have a moan about something that I can do nothing about - shoot me, please I beg you!

I've decided! I'm going to get on with some overdue paperwork. Get out the shredder and deal with some of the very old papers that are cluttering up the drawers. That'll be a good job jobbed and I'll be pleased with myself. But first, a cup of coffee. Talk to you later. I haven't forgotten about the walk either. My, I am busy..............
