Some people have all the luck! No work; fun things to do; a good husband; great kids and grandkids (well, kid - but watch this space!) And that's me in a nutshell!
I retired in November and it's better than I ever dreamed. So far. People couldn't believe I was actually looking forward to Stopping Work Forever. So much so that I began to believe that I was missing something. Did they know something I didn't? Do the Day Dream Police get you if you stop thinking about work? Well not so far. It's only been two months and winter time at that but I still look forward to every day, even when I have to wait for the gas man like I did today. It was close - he arrived just in time to stop me dusting. Housework is a necessity. It makes life easier if it's done on a regular basis and, believe it or not, I find I have more time if I do a little every day rather than waste a whole day or (heaven forbid) a whole weekend trying to catch up.
Eh up! The old man's home from work. I'll catch up with you later......
