Excuses, Excuses.

Dear All,

So sorry I've been away from blogland for so long. I notice my dusting has been done in my absence, thank you so much Granny on the Web, it was lovely to find the place looking bright and shiny in the sunshine.

The truth is I've been doing some more travelling. To the Peak's (where I waved to working Mum who works nearby but she didn't see me. Right idiot I looked leaping about, waving my arms, with no response). Then to Dorset to visit my Dad for a couple of days. Then to Norfolk where we keep our caravan for the summer, for a few days just sitting in the sunshine. I finished my cross stitch bracelet of which I am very proud.

Also you see, there's Wimbledon. I've been glued to the telly every afternoon for a fortnight hoping that Andy Murray would do us proud but he got knocked out in the semi-final today. Ho hum. Never mind I'll be watching the final on Sunday anyway.

Then there's Facebook. I've kinda been dragged into that. It's very strange, the hold it has on you once you start. I've added all my relatives and friends. Made silly comments on my own page and, I have to admit, some comments on others' silly pages. It's a very handy tool for keeping in touch but I do miss the chance to write more than just a line.

Anyway I'm please to be catching up with you all. I've got some photo's to share with you later.

Speak soon.

Oh excitement! Glad you have come back all refreshed. I know what you mean about Facebook, by the time you have visited and left little cryptic notes, another few hours have gone from the day.
Sad about Andy, but the pressure must have been awful on his young shoulders. Maybe next year!
Lovely to see you back.
Love Granny

Hey, welcome back! I'm rarely on facebook, and have two accounts - one of which I have forgotten the password to! That's why I haven't answered you, or seen your piccies.x

Ah, I got caught up in Facebook for a while and checked it compulsively several times a day, but now I hardly look at it. I'm sick to death of having cups of tea or strings of beads sent to me or challenged to one silly game after another. I play scrabble there, and chat sometimes to other bloggers, but that's really about it.

I'm not a tennis fan but OH is, so I heard about Andy Murray getting knocked out.
