Good Feelings..

Thanks to you good people out there I'm feeling much better today. Many thanks. I've added Scrappy Sue to my dusting list. She's running a competition for some Easter goodies. All you have to do is leave a comment on her post. Wait a minute.........why am I telling you this? I want to win the chocolate..... Oh well. The more the merrier and it is a wonderful blog to add to my list of outstanding bloggers.

Noodles other Nanny (the one who has so tragically lost her husband) has contacted my son to say that she wants us to sit with the family at the funeral and not hide away at the back. How lovely is that! Especially as she has plenty to think about at the moment. Not sure if we will push ourselves forward like that, it's not in our nature, but if we are ushered to specific seats then of course we will be pleased to be included in the family circle.

I find it very strange, all this extended family stuff. It never used to be this complicated but I suppose all families have times when relationships are a bit fraught. I'm so pleased that there are no hard feelings between us and Noodles other family even if her Mum and Dad don't always make it easy for us. The Wake is being turned into a party "for Granded" so that the children can be there after the funeral service and burial. I think that's a lovely idea. It will be a celebration of a life.

The garden looked pretty this morning, all covered in snow. It was nice to sit up in bed with a cup of tea and watch it through the window.

Still worrying about getting through the next couple of weeks but I know I have lots of support out there and that's a great comfort.

Families are harder to deal with than friends - isn't that the strangest thing?

Go ahead and let them usher you up to sit with the family - that is quite an honor!

Glad you're feeling better. Also pleased that you are being made so welcome by the other Nanny. I'm sure things will be out.
Snow! We've had a few flakes, and it is very cold & windy, but sun shining today! Blimmen cold though!

So pleased that they have asked you to be part of the family party - which of course you are!
How much we go through for our children - does it ever get any easier? I don't think so, somehow! M xx

Hi scrappysue - lefties rule OK? Fx

Hi aims - Families are the hardest to deal with but we wouldn't be without them would we?? Fx

Hi Maggie May - We had 2 inches of snow but it only lasted a few hours. Beautiful though. Fx

Hi Mother's Place - Someone told me when my kids were small that it gets worse as they get older and I think that's true. Oh for a 2 year old's tantrums again! Much easier to deal with that a 36 yr old with a broken heart. Fxx

PS To embed a link.
1. Highlight and copy (right mouse click copy) address from the website you want to embed (excluding the http:/ bit)e.g. dustingspiders.blogger.com.
2. Highlight the words in your post (during the composition or edit stage) e.g. Dusty Spider.
3. Click on the add link icon at the top of the edit box. Hover over icons to see what they are called if you're not sure which one it is.
4. Paste (right mouse click paste) address into box that already has http:/ in it.
5. Click OK.
Hope that makes sense. Fxxx

it does all sound stressy, but you seem to be dealing with it all admirably well. Realise I haven't done my 7 things. But last year I was asked to do 8 (obviously the anti-inflation is catching on) so if you're desperately short of things to do, it's here: http://milla-countrylite.blogspot.com/2007/06/tagging-stuff.html

Families can be complicated these days. It is generous of Noodle's other nanny to think of you at this time. Some people restore your faith in human nature. Hope it all goes OK.

I'm a leftie, too. No-one ever made anything of it, until I moved a bit further south. Puzzling!

Mean Mom - thanks for your support. My leftyness has been commented on since I was small. How did you get away with it!! Fxxx
