Oooooh Wedding Plans...........delicious!

Daughter's wedding day is only 18 weeks away now. Only realised this at the weekend and suddenly there is lots to do. I was at the hairdressers today (what do you think? A little too short maybe......hmmmmm)and we talked about having to plan for the cut next-but-one away from the day to practice styles in case I needed to let it grow slightly in one place, "or another"??! Beyond my experience all this, wonderful stuff. Also talked about "fascinators". That's a new one on me too. I had decided I wanted a hat that was just a little showy. Daughter said I could wear what I liked so long as it didn't block everybody elses view of the wedding! I had seen women at weddings with these little bunches of something feathery and flouncy and usually highly coloured but didn't know what they were called. Actually didn't think about it at all. Just presumed it was a hat! (Is it me?) Anyway, "fascinators" is what these bunches of feathery stuff are called so now I'm in hot pursuit! Watch this space.

Also discussed with daughter - makeup. I'm really looking forward to this bit as I don't wear makeup in the usual run of things and if I do it's a bit of lippy and maybe some eye shadow but I'm not at all skilled in the art of applying said makeup and usually just stick to lippy. Now I have the chance to be made up professionally on the day of the wedding! How fantastic is that! Gonna cost me an arm and a leg you understand but I think it's great. I'll have a consultation 6 weeks before to decide on colours and stuff and guess what - for the first time in my life I'll have my eyebrows done! I won't know myself! Daughter and I have an outing planned at the weekend to start looking for my wedding outfit. I haven't lost all the weight I promised myself I would (no surprise there I hear you say) but I'm not going to worry about that too much. I'll be what I am won't I? I'm really looking forward to finding something really nice and then feeling great wearing it. Keep everything crossed for me won't you?! 'im indoors thinks he's going to get away with wearing his old grey suit. Daughter has other plans. I know which way I'm betting!

That sounds like some serious shopping - I love those little bits of nonsense too. They always look good. I'm sure you will look lovely - we need some photos to keep us up to date. M xx

You musn't wear one of those hats that looks like roadkill plonker on yer bonce! Y'know the feathery efforts that are all wispy and that!

It's great fun shopping for weddings so dive right in and have a great time.

As for the hubby and his old gray suit - hide it!
