What a difference a week makes.

THE PEAR TREE ON EASTER SUNDAY

Last week was the week of Noodle's other Grandad's funeral. It was hard for all of us, but especially Noodle's Mum as she has lost her Dad and her closest friend as she relied on him for everything. We are all still in the fallout of that tragedy but my dear friends and fellow bloggers have cheered me up no end. I was thrilled to find more comments on my Spring post AND another award from Mother of this lot who had also invited me to her tea party. You've missed it I'm afraid as it was yesterday but do pop over, there might be some chocolate cake left! Thanks too to Mother's Place is in the Wrong (link already in dusting list) who nominated me for the award as well so I am doubly blessed.

The garden is holding it's breath in the cold weather. The pear blossom is half out with buds on some branches and flowers on others. Seems like it's waiting for the weather to warm up again before it takes it's coat right off!
Thanks to everyone who sent me supporting comments recently. Didn't realise there were so many lovely people out there.
Here are the superb bloggers worthy of the "good natter" award. Will the following bloggers extraordinaire please stand up:
Mother's Place is in the Wrong and Mother of this Lot would be on this list except that it was they who recommended me. Thanks again guys.
Love to all

(Blushing while twisting the toe of my tennis shoe into the dust) Thanks! I have popped over to the others and am honored (or honoured, depending upon your side of the Pond)to be among them!

As for your snow, we had one of those. Sadly, my tulips hadn't gotten the memo, and were already up when they got hit by the icy blast. They're not lookin' so good! I think the rest has waited, though.

Thanks again!

Hi Dusty, a lovely post - I like the idea of the garden holding its breath. Sorry to give you more to do, but you're Tagged too. The Rules and Regs are on my Blog. Love M xx

Thank you Dusty Spider, you've made my day! Not sure how you stumbled across me, but it's great to know you'd love a chat!! (The girls great melodramatic lament is 'Mummy's chatting AGAIN', so couldn't be more appropriate! Good to get to know you. I'll pop back and read more of yours when the hour is less late but also just want to say how sorry I am to hear of the death in your 'extended' family. The spooky thing though is that in recent days or weeks I have been told of someone who dropped dead shortly after a medical (my husband having just had his). I am racking my brains to try and remember who told me, where and when but am wondering if there is some freaky link between us (7 removes and all that) or whether I am having a strange deja vue experience which we can just put down to madness on my part...

Anyway, madness aside, thank you so much again.
xx

T&C - Take a bow, you deserve it. Flick xx

MOTL - It was so completely unexpected too. I feel so lucky to still have both my parents. Flick xx

Mother's Place - Thanks for the tag I'll pop over in a minute a take a look. Flick xx

Her on the Hill - Spooky or what!! Haven't heard of "seven removes" what does that mean. Stranger things have happened though. Let me know if you think of the person you heard it from. Fascinating!!! Flick xx

Dusty spider - you have made me smile:0) I think that there are too many 'mothers', 'mums' and 'moms' to keep up with, in blogland. I do apologise for lacing your tea with whisky at my party. I should have guessed that it would lead to some confusion!

I think that my garden, like many others, is quite confused at the moment. I'm sure that the sun is too warm for this time of year and when the sun goes in, it feels cold enough for snow! What's going on?

Came back to say - award over here for you.

Mean Mom - I do get a bit confused with the "Mothers", "Mums" and "Moms" but thought it was my age. Now if I'd known you'd laced my tea with whisky............Flick xx

MOTL - Thankyou Thankyou (curtsy) I'll dash over and pick it up straight away! Flick xx

There are a good few grannies (grannys) too, don't forget!

Milla - thanks for popping by. The sun WAS shining, now it's hailing again!

Mean Mom - I've just realised my mistake and posted an apology redirecting everybody to you. What a wally I am!!! Flick x

Maggie May - As you'll see I'm already out of my depth with the Mums, Mothers and Moms. What am I going to do if I get grannys, grandmas, nannys and nanas???? Help!!! Flick x
